Beautiful small square with a café by the fountain. The fountain is adorned by a Black Forest clock carrier with a carrying frame. This is how cuckoo clocks went out into the world.

Hiking

Around 1800, Schramberg suffered from a water shortage. The citizens of the lower main street went in search of water and discovered a spring on the Schlossberg. The water was piped to the square in front of the inn „Zum Hirschen“. In 1857, the construction of the fountain was decided. In 1929, the city committed itself to supplying the fountain with spring water "for all time".
