At the end of the valley, on the Hinteren Gosausee, is the Hohe Holzmeisteralm at 1,164m. The rustic mountain hut can be reached via the gravel path within 1 ½ hours from the beginning of the Vorderen Gosau lake and reveals a piece of untouched nature. In addition to the impressive mountain landscape, the delicacies from “down-to-earth, tasty cuisine”, you can learn a lot about the structure of the alpine pasture, its earlier management, as well as the small and large natural disasters in the pasture's history.
