The popular attraction of Štúro Square in Trenčín is the unusual fountain of Vodník Valentín. Valentine, a fairy-tale man with a typical Hastrman hat and frown, slips out of the fountain and kisses the fallen water jets of the arcades at regular intervals to delight the children who spread out across the square. "
