The road that leads to the Avaro plains is a long climb, just over 15 km (today all paved) which, starting from the municipality of Averara, leads to the refuge of Mount Avaro. It has some challenging stretches one km before the detour to Ornica and then the stretch that from this detour leads to the Monte Avaro refuge, about 5 km with peaks at 17%. It flattens out in the last km. BDC also feasible.
