Mountain biking
During the great fire on May 6, 1664, the tower lost its conical roof and its function as the bailiff's apartment. The tower was renovated in 1997 and has since housed the Arelape-Bechelaren-Pöchlarn City Museum.
In 1999 the Welserturm was given a modern roof based on plans by the architect Helmut Haiden.
