    Hiking

From here you can go up, on the left, to the summit of Mount Tarino (from which the Aniene is born): it still takes an hour and more than 300 meters. in altitude, but, if you go up, you can see Filettino, Campo Staffi and even the Fucino plain to the east

    Mountain biking

Monna della Forcina is one of the key points in the Mtb outings in Simbruini: here you can start the hard climb of Mount Tarino (not recommended by bike from this side), go up towards Campo Staffi, go down towards Campo Ceraso and Campo della Pietra or go down towards Fiumata or Fillet. If you need water, go to Fiumata, Campo Ceraso or Campo Staffi.

Embark on the Great Faito Loop, a challenging hike that takes you through the diverse landscapes of the Parco Naturale Regionale dei Monti Simbruini. This route spans 10.5 miles (16.9 km) and involves a significant elevation gain of 2655 feet (809 metres), making it a demanding journey. You will wind through varied terrain, from dense forests to open clearings, with the Monna della Forcina Meadow offering a beautiful natural feature along the way. Expect to spend around 5 hours and 48 minutes completing this difficult trail, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the park.

Before you set out, be aware that this is a hard route requiring good to very good fitness and sure-footedness; sturdy shoes are essential for your safety and comfort. The area experiences significant seasonal changes, with heavy snowfall in winter drastically altering conditions and requiring alpine experience. While generally accessible, some paths may require careful navigation, including crossing a stream multiple times where caution is advised to avoid slipping. Plan your visit during suitable weather to fully enjoy the experience.

The highlight of your journey on the Great Faito Loop is the Campo Ceraso Volubro, an artificial water basin with a reflective surface. This serene spot is overlooked by an unguarded refuge at 1561 metres altitude, providing a perfect place for a picnic and offering excellent photography opportunities, especially around the lake. This unique feature sets the trail apart, offering a memorable destination within the stunning Monti Simbruini park.
