A special feature among the vineyard cottages that served farmers and winemakers as huts in the whole of Rheinhessen are the trulli. Of these, for us strange looking little house, are 3 pieces in the region around Flonheim. The name comes from the occurring mainly in Puglia / Italy round houses. In our region they were built in the 18th century as shelters in the vineyards.
