Hiking

The roots of the old spinning mill on the Zschopau in Erdmannsdorf go back to the mid-1830s. From 1869, Arno & Moritz Meister AG took over this first spinning mill and continued production. By 1912, four more spinning mills had been built in Erdmannsdorf and formed the backbone of the community. From the 1950s, the spinning mill was transferred to public ownership and in 1961 it was incorporated into the "VEB Baumwollspinnerei Flöha".

In 1991, cotton production was stopped and the company was shut down.
