They are part of the program designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill which associates around an artificial lake two large boulevards and a set of mixed housing, mixing suburban housing in home ownership and HLM housing.
Nicknamed the “Versailles of the people”, they combine a “Viaduct” imitating the great bridges of Avignon, the Château de Chenonceau or the Roman aqueduct of Segovia.
