Built in 1925, the Eckmann-Speicher near the station is the last traditional Kaispeicher in the Kiel harbor. In 2012, the building was renovated with a lot of effort. The brick building was built from 1923 to 1925 directly at the former Bollhörnkai as a granary and was used until the 1970s as a memory.
