I used to swim here every now and then. It was and still is forbidden 🚫 but when you're young you tend to overlook it 😃

The Ernst-August mine was an experimental structure in the 19-Lachter-Adolph tunnel. This experimental structure was intended to open up the deposit there from the blind shaft of the same name. At times the Ernst-August shaft served as a light shaft for the Ernst-August tunnel. Today the shaft is part of a show mine.
