In Finsterwalde, Friedrich-Hebbel-Str. there is a brick house built by the town in 1928. The facade is decorated with 29 motifs from Grimm's fairy tales.
The Dresden sculptors Johannes Ernst Born, Paul Wachs and Paul Lindau freely modelled the motifs from clay; the bricks were then fired in the neighbouring Schacksdorf brickworks.
