It was built in 1420 with a cross-shaped plan of nave, transept and choir. In the Eighty Years War, it was severely damaged in 1573, but in 1601 taken over by the newly constituted Reformed church. Restored in 1609, only the four-bay nave and the tower. The choir, which had no meaning for Reformed worship, and the transept disappeared. Until the renovation of 1936/1937, the ship had a hipped roof to the east (Wikipedia).
