The lift bridge crosses the port Walsum North. Those who use the Rhine ferry from Orsoy to Walsum can cycle across the bridge to Alt-Walsum or to the Walsumer Rheinaue.
The bridge was originally built from 1934 to 1936, but demolished at the end of World War II. The current bridge was built in 1950. Since 2012 she is only released on foot or by bike.
