This easy route covers 0.6 miles (1.0 km) and climbs 395 feet (120 metres), taking approximately 24 minutes to complete. As you ascend, you'll notice the terrain can be steep in spots, with some loose gravel and rocky sections, but the well-traveled path guides you to the top.

    Planning your visit is straightforward, as parking is generally available right at the trailhead, making access very convenient. The trail is a popular spot for both sunrise and sunset, offering memorable photo opportunities, so consider starting your hike early or late in the day to catch the best light. You can also bring your dog along, as the route is pet-friendly.

    From the summit of Lone Mountain, you are treated to incredible 360-degree panoramic views that truly set this trail apart. You can clearly see the vast Las Vegas Valley, including the famous Strip, and the surrounding mountain ranges like the Sheep Range and La Madre Mountains Wilderness. You will experience a wide, well-maintained dirt and gravel path, gaining 601 feet (183 metres) in elevation. This route typically takes about 1 hour and 32 minutes to complete, offering expansive panoramic views of Red Rock Canyon and the distant mountain ranges as you go.

    Planning your visit is straightforward, with ample parking available at trailheads on both the east and west sides of Lone Mountain. You will find restrooms, shaded picnic areas, and water fountains conveniently located near the trailheads. The route is also multi-use and dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your leashed pet along for the adventure.
