The donkey bridge got its name due to circumstances, which took place with your inauguration. The original bridge was demolished after the decommissioning of its spanned railway line and filled the remains in the Rabensteiner dam. In winter, the donkey figure is removed from the bridge. The view over Chemnitz from this point is worth a short break. (Source: tu-chemnitz.de/tu/pressestelle/aktuell/2719)
