You will cycle past charming villages and historic castles, like Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, enjoying continuous views of the lake and surrounding peaks.
Much of the route follows a dedicated car-free "voie verte" greenway, offering a smooth and safe ride. However, be aware that some sections, particularly between Bout-du-Lac and Menthon-Saint-Bernard, require sharing the road with cars. The eastern side of the lake presents the most notable incline, a short climb with a single hairpin bend near Talloires. Along the way, you will find convenient amenities such as water stations, bike repair points, and numerous cafes to refuel.
The Tour of Lake Annecy is celebrated as one of France's most beautiful cycling routes, known for its exceptional natural beauty and accessibility.
