The mausoleum is for Petar II. Petrović-Njegoš (Petar II / "Njegoš"), Prince-Bishop of Montenegro and one of the most significant poets of the Serbian language area. He wrote, among others, The Mountain Wreath, The False Tsar, Šćepan the Little, and The Ray of the Microcosm. Njegoš administratively laid the foundations for a modern state in Montenegro. In the village of Njeguši, the excellent ham is produced, which one should definitely try!
