Waren an der Müritz was founded in the 13th century. Because of its well-preserved and renovated buildings, the old town of the 20,000-inhabitant town is definitely worth a visit. Worth mentioning are the city harbor with the old harbor stores, the church of St. George from the 14th century, the old town hall from the 15th century or the nature discovery center Müritzeum.
