Here is a memorial stone with a plaque, which reminds of the dam breach on March 26th, 1979. The dam had broken to a width of ten meters, about 800 million liters of water poured out of the already flooded section of the canal and flooded large parts of the old town center. 120 houses were damaged. A twelve-year-old girl fell into the floods with a breaking off balcony and drowned, unfortunately this accident is not on the blackboard but should not be forgotten.
