This beautiful 14th-century Gothic church was listed as a historic monument in 1926. The grain hall located directly opposite further enhances the town's central square.

Originally a small Gallo-Roman town built on the Montjoie promontory and bordered by the Hourride and the Garonne, Cazères appears in history in the medieval period. A first church was then erected there[2].
Successively dependent on the house of Comminges then the county of Toulouse, Cazères came under the house of Foix in the 14th century, then led by Gaston Phœbus. The town suffered during this period from troubles and wars that ravaged their region. Thus, in 1355, the primitive church was destroyed by the English troops of the Black Prince[2].
