From here you can enjoy a great view of Mainberg Castle. The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1245. In 1822 it was renovated by Wilhelm Sattler using the predominant Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles, and almost 100 years later it was taken over by the Sachs family. Mainberg Castle is currently privately owned.

Mainberg Castle rises across from the lookout point and the Schlossblick rest area. The castle, which was rebuilt several times, was owned by the well-known Schweinfurt industrialist Ernst Sachs and his son Willy Sachs from 1915 to 1945.
