Hiking
It is impressive how much water is rushing down. Bathing allowed. Do not forget swimwear. But beware, the water is freezing cold.

Hiking
The Salto do Cagarrão is the second one when you walk up from Faial de Terra and follow the PRC 11. The way is much more demanding, but very nice. Over several bridges and once you feel the jungle you come here. Hiking poles are recommended. The way down to the waterfall is sometimes very narrow and slippery.
