The original facility had a now torn-off portico structure that encircled three sides of the furnace and protected the area from the fires and the release of the cooked carbonate material. The limestone loading facility no longer exists; This consisted of a horizontal wooden scaffold that connected the cargo hold mouth with the dam and the mountain on which the stones from the quarry behind were deposited.
