The River Rouge is a 127-mile (204 kilometer)[3] river in the Metro Detroit area of southeastern Michigan. It flows into the Detroit River at Zug Island, which is the boundary between the cities of River Rouge and Detroit.

River in the southeast...It has a length of about 203 kilometers and is divided into four branches: the actual Rouge River (Main), as well as the Upper, Middle and Lower, which each flow in from the west. The river has a water catchment area of about 1200 square kilometers.
