Not far from Erlangen in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district lies the Baiersdorfer Weiher (also called Angersee), a popular bathing water. There are spacious sunbathing areas on the west bank. Sanitary facilities are available.
The bathing lake does not have a lifeguard, but is checked at regular intervals. The water quality is also excellent.
Grilling is only permitted in the designated areas. Open fire, camping and bringing dogs with you are prohibited at the Baiersdorfer Weiher.
Some sections of the bank in the north of the Baiersdorfer Weiher are approved for nudism and nude bathing.

Beautifully idyllic and lots of nature, ideal for a cozy break on the shore. If you want to swim, you can do that on the neighboring Ausee, which is also known as Baiersdorfer bathing lake.
