The Kasseedorfer pond is a former mill pond, it has not been used for a long time and is slowly silting up. In summer you can clearly see the "current" of the Schwentine, which keeps the "river course" free of water lilies, which otherwise cover the entire pond. Right now, at the end of June, the pond is teeming with fish, frogs and dragonflies.

The historic water mill Kasseedorf is a brick building - 1641 was commissioned as a paper mill with water wheel - a partial demolition took place in 1817 - then a reconstruction as a grain mill commissioning in 1819 - after a fire in 1879 was a conversion with "complete axial action turbine with regulation" - 1954 the mill was shut down - the mill has 2 millstones and an oatmeal - the turbine is not functional.
