The history of Val Curone is closely linked to its geographical position: an area bordering the Po Valley on one side and the Ligurian Apennines on the other. Because of this location, the valley has been, since ancient times, an important communication route to the sea. This area has seen the development of numerous human settlements and centers with agricultural-commercial connotations, facilitated above all by the presence of the Curone stream which, rising upstream from the town of Bruggi, runs through the entire valley.
