The Kalvarienberg is located in the middle of the juniper reserve "Lampertstal" in the municipality of Blankenheim. It is the largest contiguous juniper area in North Rhine-Westphalia. Pasque Flower, 31 species of orchid and gentians can be found on the juniper heaths. At an altitude of 517 meters above sea level, from Kalvarienberg you have a wonderful view over the rolling hills of the Dollendorf limestone basin to the volcanic cones of Aremberg, Hoher Acht and Nürburg.
