The original price of the water tower in Rötha was around 74,000 Reichsmarks. That was in 1913, when the 35.1 m high structure was erected using reinforced concrete technology and a clinker brick facade. 105 years later, a lot has happened in terms of construction prices. Around 1.2 million euros and a total of one and a half years of construction were necessary to renovate the city's landmark, which can be seen from afar.
