The front building is a listed ticket hall from the time of the former airport. The building was converted for the Federal Horticultural Show. It got a glass roof and large windows. The city of Munich then leased the building for exclusive events. The head building has been empty since 2014 and bobbed around unused. A lack of ventilation and heating ultimately led to mold growth. In the Corona summer 2020, some exhibitions and projections on the current topics "Travel" and "Learning and working at home" were held. The building will be renovated in 2021.
