Texel's lighthouse is located on the northernmost tip of the island. The bright red lighthouse has 118 steps and has a height of 45m above sea level. Normally open for visits, but unfortunately temporarily closed due to corona. Check vuurtorentexel.nl for new updates.

Mountain biking
The lighthouse, built in 1864, was restored after the rebellion of the Georgians (1945) and received a new, second wall. On the fourth floor you can almost see two towers and walk between the old and the new lighthouse.
