Feuerstein Castle is located on the edge of the so-called Lange Meile (Long Mile) near Ebermannstadt in the Forchheim district. It was built in 1941 by Oskar Vierling as a laboratory for research into high-frequency technology and electroacoustics. Since 1979, Feuerstein Castle has been a youth education center and, since January 1, 2000, a foundation of the Archdiocese of Bamberg.
