The highlight is a section of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. The winding tower of Shaft XII is the landmark of the Zollverein Coal Mine World Heritage Site, and the entire complex is absolutely worth seeing. In addition to the museum, there are guided tours, plenty of restaurants, concerts, and sporting events. The former coking plant is an absolute highlight in the Ruhr region and an example of successful post-coal use.

The museum is a good place to take a break. The routes are divided for cyclists / inliners and pedestrians. It is very pleasant.
