Below the castle ruins is the oldest building in Aitrach, still in its original state, the tenth building. Built in 1511, the Zehntstadel is a half-timbered house, the beams of which are only assembled with cones and wooden nails, making it a masterpiece of carpentry. This building survived the Thirty Years' War unscathed. It is believed that at that time the Swedes used the building as a catering facility for the soldiers and horses and therefore spared it.
