The church in the center of Köppern dates back to 1727. The bells, like those of many other churches, were confiscated for the armaments industry during the First and Second World Wars. Today, three bells ring again in the small, slate tower.
A church in Friedrichsdorf-Köppern in the Taunus Mountains was first documented in the early 16th century. According to an invoice from 1562, the first small bell was purchased by the community for four thalers.
