The Dominican monastery, now a valuable tourist attraction of the city, is the only monastery built on the site of the former New March. It was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, on the southern edge of the city. It consisted of a church and monastery buildings surrounding a rectangular inner courtyard (garth).
The monastery church and the western wing of the monastery have been preserved to this day. Currently, the Myślibórz Cultural Center (MOK) is located in the church, and the Municipal and District Public Library is located in the historic interior of the monastery.
