In 2015, St. Martin's Church received new bronze bells because the steel bells had numerous cracks.
The community decided to keep this bell. It now forms the center of a newly created square.
Another steel bell is located on private property at the edge of town towards Hagenberg.

The bronze bell from Bernterode can be viewed in the square on Ringstraße. There is an information board, benches, and an old, decommissioned telephone box as a bookshelf ;-)
