    Hiking

Probably the most spectacular peak in the Sierra Calderona. Incredibly beautiful.

    Hiking

The path passes near the parking lot and continues along the main path to a pedestrian path marked with sticks that runs along the rocks and leads to the Garbí Viewpoint, installed on the main summit (601 m). In Pla del Garbí there are recreation areas, kiosks, a hermitage and extraordinary views of the Mediterranean coast in Sagunto and Valencia.

The route of the Garbí chains - Circular from Segart

    390m

The Garbí Chains Route - Circular from Segart plunges you into challenging, mountainous terrain, where pine forests alternate with rocky ravines and sections of loose scree. The most memorable experience is the chains section, an assisted climb that takes you up a rock face, culminating at the Mirador del Garbí with spectacular views of the Valencian coast and the Mediterranean. This is a difficult 7.3-kilometer (4.5 miles) hike with 382 meters (1254 feet) of elevation gain, which will take you approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.

To plan your visit, please note that this route requires good physical fitness and is not suitable for people with vertigo or young children. The starting point is Segart, a small village that serves as a gateway to the Sierra Calderona. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry enough water, especially in the warmer months, as the terrain is demanding and exposed in some places.

This route is famous for its "cadenas" (Garbí chains), a feature that sets it apart from other routes in the Valencia region and makes it one of the most thrilling. Located in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park, the route offers an immersion into the geological diversity and Mediterranean flora, with expansive views of the Gulf of Valencia and the foothills of the Maestrazgo. It's an excellent choice for those seeking popular routes and a hiking challenge.
