For centuries, Rorschach has been on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, which is why a Jacob's Chapel stood on this spot until 1833. The fountain with the briskly striding pilgrim figure dates from 1895. Today, the Jacob's bell still rings twice a day - at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. During the summer months, this tradition of ringing is carried out by hand by volunteer bell ringers
