Even the drive along the practically single-lane road is an adventure. There are only a few places to stop. However, the large parking lot is a good starting point for hiking into the gorge (warning: only experienced hikers can reach the bottom!) and to the hermitage.

Right at the top of the parking lot is the best vantage point of the Georges de Galamus and the Hermitage Saint-Antoine. From here, a path leads to the hermitage. During the day, when it's open, you can continue through a tunnel to the northern parking lot or make a circular route. This is only recommended during the off-season, however, as you have to return via the road. You can, of course, also return the same way. 😉

Pass after the Galamus gorges. It is also the starting point for hikes to the mysterious Pic Bugarach.

At 1,230 m, it's the highest peak in the Corbières. A very beautiful vantage point. However, the ascent from the southwest requires sturdy shoes and surefootedness.

The mountain is broken... 😁 Seriously, holes like this don't come around very often. I saw the last one in Corsica before Paglia Orba. The path up here and further to the summit requires sturdy shoes and a certain degree of surefootedness.
