Beautiful bridge over the river

The bridge has been repaired and since its reopening there is a chaussidou to cross it. On occasion I will try to take a photo.

This 19th-century château, with its elegant stone façade and slender towers, stands majestically amidst formal gardens and vast lawns. Surrounded by woods and meadows, it offers a peaceful and refined setting, ideal for a stroll or a contemplative break. From the grounds and surrounding hills, the view from the château is simply magnificent.

Here you can admire a beautifully renaturalized river.

The mayor of Pau and President of the Community of Communes François Bayrou as well as the Prefect had admitted that this achievement was not satisfactory, that an access ramp was missing. Pau à Vélo presented a project that was perfectly feasible and compatible with the constraints of the location (taking into account the environment, flood risks, etc.). Nothing moves. Lamentable. I agree with @Pierrick. The ramp for the bike is really not practical and steep. In my opinion the bike ride is simpler for the few steps

At the end of this path and at the top of this small promontory, you undeniably have a very beautiful view. Nothing remains of the archaeological excavations that once took place here and testify to the Roman presence. The place is called Le Fort de César and you can easily imagine what it was used for.

Funny story this Gave de Pau, also called Gave de Gavarnie from its source in Villelongue, Gave de Pau or Lavedan from this confluence in Ayzac- Ousse then to the two islands of Labatut, including Lourdes and Pau then again Gave de Pau (but without the Lavedan) then to Cauneille and finally Gaves reunited to Horgave!
