Beautifully and secluded, this ruin is located near Beaulieu, on the Dordogne reservoir. From there, you're supposed to have a good view of the Château du Val. Unfortunately, we couldn't verify this because all roads were blocked. Dear Koomoties, please add this highlight when you're there.

Building from the end of the 13th century. Originally, the building had a nave of two square vaulted bays, a transept, a choir and two small chapels on the arms of the transept. After a fire in 1472, two aisles were added, along with a small chapel at the north end of the transept.

The air du temps campsite in Beaulieu is very pleasant because it is located on the edge of the Dordogne, which in this precise place forms the lake of Bort-les-Orgues. From the campsite you will have a beautiful view of the Château de Val. One kilometer further towards the village you will find the Auberge de Beaulieu which has a very good reputation.

Extremely calm place at the confluence of the Dordogne and one of its tributaries, at the most upstream point of the reservoir of the Bort-les-Orgues dam. Once at the bottom, you have to go back up and the coast towards Confolent-Port-Dieu offers a nice drop in altitude and fairly high percentages for lovers of short and dry climbs.
