In August 2001, the Tetzner Museum, a spacious permanent exhibition of works by the Gersdorf painter and graphic artist Heinz Tetzner (1920-2007), was opened. The Expressionist and Schmidt-Rottluff student Tetzner was a recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class, and was well-known far beyond the borders of Saxony and Germany. A cross-section of his work is now on display in the former mill wing of the renovated "Hessenmühle" courtyard. The exhibition includes oil paintings, watercolors, and graphic works. The museum is the only one of its kind in Saxony. Opening Hours: Current Opening Hours 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Source: https://www.zeitsprungland.de/poi/tetzner-museum-in-der-hessenmuehle

The so-called Müllerhäuschen is part of the building complex of the art and culture center Hessenmühle. It houses the pottery club. A lovingly designed exhibition by the association can always be admired in the Bergkeller during the Gersdorfer Christmas market.
