Medieval fortress. The Château de Montcornet has retained its original appearance as a medieval sentinel. Dominating the small valley of the Sormonne, the rock of Mont Cornu has been occupied since the 12th century by a fortress, abandoned in the 17th century. The ruins of the "Colisée Feudal de Montcornet", dear to Michelet, have been cleared and the underground passages now house an exhibition space.
