A former fortified city, the citadel of Châteauceaux was destroyed in 1420 by the Duke of Brittany. Only the two entrance towers and the ruins of the old stronghold remain. At the time, the citadel represented 2.5 times the surface area of the citadel of Carcassonne. https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_et_ville_close_de_Champtoceaux

The Château de la Champtoceaux, on the Domaine de la Colinière, is located in an area of 30 hectares overlooking the Loire from 70 meters. Due to its exceptional geographical location, this site was first a Roman oppidum then became a fortified medieval city, Châteauceaux (castrum celsum), ancient name of Champtoceaux, enclosed by walls and with a surface area twice that of from Carcassonne! https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_et_ville_close_de_Champtoceaux

The Champtoceaux Castle Gate is the gate to the ancient fortified town and castle of Champtoceaux, which was a strategic site in the Middle Ages and witnessed numerous battles and alliances. You will be able to admire the two towers still standing which bear witness to the past glory and power of this place.

It turns out that during my trip on the Loire by bike, I broke my crank arm 200 meters from this “collaborative repair workshop”. I told myself that I was really lucky to come across this “bike workshop”. I go there and what I discover is totally incredible: two extremely unsympathetic oddballs, who offer to repair my bike with three broken 10 keys, an old twisted screwdriver and a mound of old rusty frames as equipment. base... It's a bit as if I offered my kitchen trash can, a construction shovel and a concrete mixer and guaranteed a 3-star meal to anyone willing to be brave! That we do recovery, obviously, but that we call this discharge Collaborative Workshop is simply making fun of the world. No, frankly not a must on that, it's giving too much honor to moral poverty!
