Skip the line if you only want tickets to go up; most people queue for drinks. A beautiful view from the tower for only €2.

new high-quality (ish, a bit narrow) bike path running alongside a recently opened light rail extension, no crossing car traffic, straight and (false) flat, also nice lakeside views for now (until blocked by houses), should extend at both ends eventually

Open in summer Mon–Fri 12–6 PM. The ice creams are delicious, and in my opinion, the large ice cream portion was very cheap – only €6. The service is friendly, and you could probably chat about all sorts of things for a long time, but the ice cream would melt :) It’s a good idea to check the opening hours at www.jaatelotehdas.fi Open in summer Mon–Fri 12–6 PM. It’s a smooth bridge with wide open views of the lake as you cross. Despite the traffic, it feels relaxed and efficient, enjoy the scenery.

This is the perfect spot to stop off and relax whilst looking at the splendid lake views. There is also a ladder to access the lake for a spot of swimming.
