Das Rote Haus in Vitte, also known as Bækkeri, combines a café, bakery, and design shop under one roof. Guests will find a place for enjoyment here, dedicated entirely to the beautiful things in life – in the spirit of „Hygge“. On nice weather, sit outside and have a coffee while enjoying a homemade cinnamon roll. https://reiseziel-hiddensee.de/rotes-haus-baekkeri-cafe/#google_vignette

The National Park House was opened in 1998. The house in the north of Vitte is a thatched building with a trapezoidal floor plan. It houses a permanent exhibition about the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park with a focus on Hiddensee. The exhibition is based on the motto "Panta Rhei – Everything flows".https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiddensee#Sehensw%C3%BCrdigkeiten_und_Museen

The Heimatmuseum Hiddensee is a simple plastered building in Kloster. It offers a permanent exhibition on the island's history with around 450 exhibits, a complete replica of the Hiddensee jewellery found on the island, documents, around 2500 photographs, postcards and slides, as well as an extensive library. Some works by well-known representatives of the Hiddensee artists' colony are also part of the museum's collection. The building itself dates from 1890 and was a sea rescue station. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiddensee#Sehensw%C3%BCrdigkeiten_und_Museen

My tip: It's better to approach from the north towards Honiggrund, even if cycling is prohibited at the end. After the lighthouse, it's worth visiting the Klauser restaurant and then taking the exit to Kloster. From the south, i.e., from Kloster, a nasty, heavily frequented paved ramp leads up to Dornbusch.
