Anyone who is a fan of tidal areas will really do themselves a big favor by going for a walk here for a day. Beautiful nature and wonderfully quiet on weekdays. Watch out for the cattle that like to stand in the water when it is warm. Dragonflies, frogs, dozens of species of birds and beautiful flowers! Do bring your own food and drinks because there are no catering facilities or water points here.

Beautiful piece of nature but be careful! It can be very wet here - especially after a few days of rain. So if you hate wet feet, better wear a pair of high boots. Many types of flowers, insects and birds!

The 'Jewish monument' in Strijen (municipality of Hoeksche Waard) is a memorial stone made of reddish-brown IJssel stone. A Star of David made of Indian granite is attached to the stone. The lower point of the star has crumbled. The memorial stone is 3 metres high and 3 metres wide.

Vilmos Huszár received many commissions for interiors from architect friends such as Wils, Rietveld and Oud, but also worked for architects not affiliated with De Stijl such as Van der Kloot Meijburg, Van Moorsel and especially Died Visser. In 1927, he designed the town hall of Strijen in collaboration with the Strijen municipal architect D.H. Lammers. Huszár designed the large windows with colourful stained glass in the council chamber and probably also the colours of the walls, woodwork and furniture. With this, he is largely responsible for ‘the modern style of the town hall, a symbol of the new era.’ This is how the building was called at the opening. The statue in front of it is called "Dancers on a pedestal" by Grubbenvorst

Het Land van Strijen is a regional museum in the South Holland village of Strijen. The museum is housed in an old forge on Kerkstraat. The museum mainly focuses on the history of Strijen. The substructure of the forge probably dates back to the 16th century. The attached house dates back to the nineteenth century. The building has always been used as a forge throughout the centuries and even now you can see the blacksmith at work at the forge fire and anvil every second Saturday of the month. There are still many old machines present, including a forge hammer driven by an electric motor. Horses can still be shod in the hoof stable in front of the forge.

The Grote- or Sint Lambertuskerk is the characteristic village church of Strijen. The building probably partly dates from 1400, but the actual nave of the church is from the early 1500s. Originally it was a cruciform church, of which one transept still exists on the side of the Kerkstraat. On the other side, the transept was demolished when the church building was expanded with the northern extension in 1847 to accommodate the increasing number of churchgoers.
