A very fascinating museum centered around the Friedland border transit camp. It focuses specifically on its origins after World War II and the large numbers of war refugees, displaced persons, and those returning from captivity. The very modern and, above all, highly media-oriented exhibition is guided by an audio guide. This is provided free of charge. This allows you to watch some videos without disturbing others. You should plan about 2.5 hours for a visit if you take in every piece. There is plenty of seating, including portable stools. A guided tour of the refugee camp also takes place at 2 p.m. An extension is currently being built, located directly next to the camp. It will focus primarily on current refugee movements.

Here, too, the route crosses the Dramme. Either quickly to Obernjesa or through the countryside.

The historic train station in Friedland is a good starting point for a cycle tour along the Leineradweg. In 1876 the town was connected to the Halle–Göttingen railway line.
